Sand, Stain & Reseal
If your hardwood is scratched, grayed, cupped, or just tired, refinishing brings it back without the cost of replacement. We sand the floor down to fresh, bare wood — removing years of wear, old finish, and surface damage — then re-stain it to the color you want and seal it with a durable, modern topcoat. The boards you already own almost always have decades of life left in them.
Our sanders run on a dust-containment system that captures the overwhelming majority of airborne dust right at the source, so the mess and cleanup most people dread is largely off the table. That means you can refinish a single room or a whole first floor without coating the rest of the house in fine powder.
Screen & Recoat
Not every floor needs a full sand-down. If your finish is worn but the wood underneath is still sound, a screen-and-recoat — lightly abrading the existing finish and rolling on a fresh protective coat — can restore sheen and protection in a single day at a fraction of the cost. It's the ideal maintenance step every few years to push a full refinish far into the future.
We'll tell you honestly which one your floor needs. Sometimes a recoat is all it takes; sometimes the only right answer is a full sand. Either way, you get the recommendation that protects your floor and your budget — not the one that runs up the invoice.
What We'll Talk About at the Estimate
Species and age of the existing floor. Depth of the scratches and any water or pet staining. How many times it's been sanded before. The stain color and sheen you're after. Whether you want to match an adjacent room. Dry and cure times, and how to live around the project. The walkthrough usually takes about 45 minutes.
Pull back a rug or slide a couch and snap a photo of the floor underneath — that untouched patch shows us the original color and tells us exactly how much life is left in your boards.
